The Mercedes-Benz GLC which was launched in June, was bought to India via CBU (Completely Built-Up) route, and was called Edition 1. And as promised, the company has rolled out locally assembled GLC at Rs 47.90 lakhs, ex-showroom, Delhi, making it a bit more affordable.
The GLC is the 9th model in Mercedes-Benz India’s portfolio to be assembled at company’s plant in Chakan, Pune. The GLC is offered in two variants. The GLC 300 4Matic with 1991 cc 4 Cyl petrol engine producing 245 hp and 370 Nm of torque. The GLC 220d 4Matic packs a familiar 2143 cc 4 Cyl diesel motor producing 170 hp and 400 Nm of torque. While the diesel is offered in Style and Sport trims, petrol comes only with Sport trim. A 9G-Tronic automatic transmission is standard.
