Toyota has launched the facelifted Etios sedan and hatchback. The sedan version is now christened as Platinum Etios, and is priced at Rs 6.43 lakhs, the Etios Liva hatchback is priced at Rs 5.24 lakhs, all prices ex-showroom, Mumbai.
The exterior changes for both sedan and hatch are mainly on the front fascia, grille and mainly on the bumper. The rear bumper gets a subtle re-design as well, while the side profile remains largely unchanged. The Platinum Etios gets a chrome strip running across the boot lid. Both the Platinum Etios and Etios Liva get new alloy wheel design.
Coming to the interiors, the layout has been retained for both sedan and hatchback, but looks refreshed with dual-tone dashboard and new fabrics.
Other features include a new “Optitron” instrument cluster, power foldable mirrors, central locking and optional reverse parking sensors. Talking about the safety, dual front airbags and ABS+EBD are standard across all the variants. The company claims there’s 7% better insulation in the new models. No mechanical changes whatsoever, engines and gearbox have been carried over from the previous model.
