Datsun launches the redi-Go Sport, a limited edition model at Rs 3.49 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
Datsun officially announced its association with the Olympic medalist Sakshi Malik at the launch event.
Based on the top end redi-Go S, the Sport version on the exterior will have triple black stripes running across the middle of the car. There’s black ORVMs, blacked-out grille with a single mesh painted in red, blacked-out lower bumper, and black wheel covers with red accents. Side profile also has stripes running across both doors. The redi-GO Sport is available in three colour options – Ruby, White and Grey.
The interiors has an all-black theme and red accents. There’s also a couple of more features such as rear parking sensor, remote keyless entry, Bluetooth audio system added to the Sport variant. Overall, the Sport variant costs Rs 15,000 more than the range-topping S trim.
No mechanical changes under the hood, the redi-Go Sport is powered by the same 800 cc 3-cylinder petrol engine producing 53 hp and 73 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
“Datsun redi-Go has redefined the value proposition offered to young achievers in India. Now, we are delighted to introduce the limited edition Datsun redi—Go Sport, which adds a sporty—themed option for customers during the festive season,” Nissan Motor India Managing Director Arun Malhotra told reporters.
