Renault Kwid 1.0 features are out ahead of its 22nd launch. Dealerships across India have started to accept bookings for a minimum deposit of Rs 10,000. As the name suggests, the Kwid 1.0 is powered by a 1.0 litre (999 CC) SCe (Smart Control efficiency) petrol engine, which is said to be optimized for better performance. The engine develops about 67 hp. The company claims that this engine has more usable power across the low, mid and top end rev range.
Coming to the features, the Kwid 1.0 will carry all the features of the regular 800 CC Kwid, including the 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system and an optional driver airbag. Except for a chequered decals on the door with a “1.0” lettering, the exterior of the Kwid 1.0 will remain identical to the 800 CC Kwid. The Kwid 1.0 has a slightly different wing mirrors.
Initially, the Kwid 1.0 will be available only with a 5 Speed manual transmission. The AMT version will be introduced at a later stage.
