Hyundai India launched the much awaited 6th generation Elantra today at Rs 12.99 lakhs, ex-showroom, Delhi. The 2016 Hyundai Elantra is available in 5 trims – S, SX, SX AT, SX(O), SX(O) AT. The new Elantra is available in two powertrains. The 2.0 litre petrol produces 150 bhp @ 6,200 rpm and 192 Nm of torque @ 4,000 rpm, and the 1.6 litre turbocharged diesel produces 126 bhp @ 4,000 rpm and 260 Nm of torque @ 1,900 – 2,750 rpm. Transmission can be either 6 Speed manual or a 6 Speed automatic for both petrol and diesel.

As always, this new Hyundai is equipped with loads of features including art leather upholstery, dual zone climate control, 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system with voice recognition, drive mode select, cruise control, smart trunk, push button start, sunroof with pinch guard and many more. On the safety front, it gets dual front airbags, side and curtain airbags, ABS+EBD, ESP, Hill Assist Control, rear parking sensors and some more.
The company says the new Elantra has better structural rigidity.
