Indians may have to wait until next year to get their hands-on the much awaited Ignis crossover hatchback, reports ETAuto. Unveiled in India at Auto Expo earlier this year, the company had plans to launch the Ignis this festive season, but now has deferred to clear the Vitara Brezza and Baleno backlog. The company wants to focus on reducing the waiting period of these two cars before introducing a new product.
The Ignis is already on sale in Japan with all models equipped with SVHS mild hybrid system, and in 2WD, AWD variants. The Japanese variant has features such as Harman infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, and an optional pedestrian detection automatic braking.
