The SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle) variants of Maruti Ciaz and Ertiga have been slashed upto Rs 68,000. The reason for this cut is the SHVS technology itself, which makes cars like these eligible for a 12.5% excise duty, instead of the 24% levied on conventional petrol and diesel cars, as specified under National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP).
The SHVS technology equipped in DDiS 200 diesel engine has Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) and has fuel saving technologies like Idle Start and Stop, Torque Assist Function and Brake Energy Regeneration. There’s also a Gear Shift Indicator which prompts the driver to effectively change gears to ensure better fuel efficiency.
The revised prices of SHVS variants are listed below, all prices ex-showroom, Delhi –
Maruti Ciaz VDi+ : Rs 8.22
Maruti Ciaz ZDi : Rs 8.89
Maruti Ciaz ZDi+ : Rs 9.49
Maruti Ertiga LDi: Rs 7.08 lakh
Maruti Ertiga LDi(O): Rs 7.14 lakh
Maruti Ertiga VDi : Rs 7.74 lakh
Maruti Ertiga ZDi : Rs 8.26 lakh
Maruti Ertiga ZDi+ : Rs 8.66 lakh
