Renault Sport displayed their R.S.01 race car at Auto Expo 2016. This is a track only car powered by 3.8 litre twin turbo V6 from Nissan GTR. This thing produces 550 bhp and 630 Nm of torque and weighs just 1100 Kg. All thanks to the carbonfibre monocoque chassis made by Dallara, the same people that developed carbon tub for KTM X-BOW. Gearbox is a seven-speed sequential made by Sadev.
It does 0-60 mph in just under 2.5 secs and top speed is rated at 190 mph. Renault claims at this top speed, the R.S.01 develops 1,200 Kg of downforce. There’s a hydraulic power steering, ABS, traction control and bespoke tyres made by Michelin. Everyone who saw thing had only one thing to say. Renault should make a production version of this.
