The wait is finally over for all the SUV lovers in India as Ford India launches the all new Endeavour at Rs 24,75,094 lakh ex-showroom, Mumbai. The previous model was hugely popular but was pulled off the production line in mid-2015 due to limited sales. The new Endeavour has come back for the throne.
Also known as Everest in some international markets, the new Endeavour sports an all new design language and looks unmistakably American. The front fascia with massive hexagonal-ish chrome grille, silver scuff plates which house fog lamps add to the ruggedness of the SUV. The projector headlamps are automatic with jet-wash and LED DRLs. The rear end has wrap around LED tail lamps, a bold chrome strip running across and the scuff plate that mimics the front one. The 18″ rims add to the imposing stance of the vehicle. The design is clean and the fit and finish of the new Endeavour looks impressive.

Power Plant
The new Endeavour is available with two diesel engine options. The 2.2L TDCi 4 cyl which produces 160ps (158hp) @ 3,200 rpm and 385Nm of torque @ 1,600-2,500 rpm. The 3.2L 5 cyl unit produces 200ps (197hp) @ 3000 rpm and 470Nm of torque @ 1,750-2,500 rpm.
Transmission
The 2.2L version is available with 6 Speed Auto or 6 Speed Manual option while 4WD for this engine is available only with MT. The 3.2L is available only as 4WD and only with 6 Speed Automatic transmission.
Fuel Efficiency
The new Endeavour has ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 14.12kmpl for 2.2L MT and 10.91kmpl for 3.2L

The new Endeavour will take on Toyota’s Fortuner again and Chevrolet’s new Trailblazer. During the launch, Ford’s Anurag Mehrotra compared new Endeavour’s price with Fortuner’s ex-showroom Mumbai prices to convey that the new Endeavour is priced very competitively and lower than the Fortuner.
