The YZF-R15 Version 3.0 will now flaunt dual-channel ABS, priced at Rs 139,000 for Racing Blue and Thunder Grey colors, and Rs 141,000 for a new Darknight color. Both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
Yamaha claims the introduction of dual-channel ABS to be the first in 150 cc class. The ABS comes with adjustable fluid pressure which apparently, will be more reliable to ensure immediate braking on slippery roads.
The motorcycle is powered by a 155 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled 4-stroke engine, developing 19.3 hp at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Nm of torque at 8,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and gets Assist & Slipper clutch.
Other features include aluminum swingarm, full-color LCD instrument cluster with gear shift timing light, LED headlamp and taillamp. The disc brakes measure 282 mm at front and 220 mm at the rear.
Yamaha has now engineered to implement a dual channel ABS to the YZF-R15 Version 3.0. The initiative to offer dual channel ABS in YZF-R15 Version 3.0 has endowed Yamaha as the trendsetter in the 150 cc class, by introducing it for the first time in the particular segment.
