Mahindra has launched a larger version of TUV300 called TUV300 Plus, with prices starting at Rs 9.47 lakh ex-showroom, Mumbai.
The SUV measures 4,400 mm in length, 1,835 mm in width and 1,812 mm in height. It is available in 3 trims — P4, P6 & P8. The top-spec model rides on 16-inch alloy wheels shod with 215/70 tyres.
The TUV300 Plus comes in 9 seat configuration with the flexibility to fold the rear seats to create a large storage area of up to 888 litres.
Mahindra says that the interior was designed by Pininfarina. Features include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with GPS navigation, Bluetooth 4.0, 4 speakers + 2 tweeters, steering mounted audio & phone controls, faux leather seats, driver seat height adjuster, rear defogger with wash & wipe, Intellipark Reverse Assist and Bluesense app.
Safety kit includes dual front airbags and ABS with EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution). Also, the hazard lights switch on in-case of a panic braking.
Powertrain
Powering the TUV300 Plus is a 2.2-litre mHawk turbocharged diesel engine that develops 120 hp at 4,000 rpm and 280 Nm of torque between 1,800-2,800 rpm. Transmission is a 6-speed manual that sends power to the rear wheels.
The SUV is a mild-hybrid (dubbed as Micro Hybrid) which gets Brake Energy Regeneration. Also, Mahindra says that the TUV300 Plus is equipped with Cushion Suspension Technology with anti-roll bars which deliver a superior ride experience on all type of roads.
Buyers can choose from five colours – Majestic Silver, Glacier white, Bold Black, Dynamo Red and Molten Orange.
