Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL) has launched the 2018 Hayabusa at Rs 13,87,623 ex-showroom, Delhi. The bike is imported as CKD (Completely Knocked Down) Kits and is assembled at the SMIPL factory in Manesar, Gurugram.
Design wise, not much has changed from the original bike of 1999. The Hayabusa retains its iconic and widely recognized silhouette. However, there are two new colors – Pearl Mira Red/Pearl Glacier White and Glass Sparkle Black.
Powering the bike is a 1,340 cc inline 4-cylinder liquid cooled engine, developing about 197 bhp @ 9,500 rpm and 155 Nm of torque @ 7,200 rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-Speed gearbox.
Features include Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS) which allows the rider to select one of three engine control maps, Brembo Monobloc front brake calipers, and ABS.
The 2018 Hayabusa will be showcased at the Auto Expo 2018.
