Built on Lexus’ Global Architecture – Luxury (GA-L) rear-wheel drive platform, the new LS 500h is longer, lower and wider than the sedan it replaces.
The LS 500h is powered by a 3.5-litre (3,456 cc) V6 engine and two electric motors. The ICE produces 220 kW (299 hp) at 6600 rpm and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque at 5100 rpm. The combined system output is claimed to be 264 kW (359 hp). A 0-100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration is claimed to happen in 5.4 seconds while the top speed is limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).
Transmission is a 10-Speed automatic with ‘Artificial Intelligence Shift’ that uses information from the G sensor to understand when to downshift when braking, and how many gears to drop down.
There is also an EV drive mode for a silent and zero-emission drive.
Other kit includes Adaptive Variable Suspension, 6 drive modes, auto lift-up function to enter and exit with ease, 23-speaker Mark Levinson surround sound system, 14 airbags and more.
For those who have arrived in life, the Lexus LS 500h has now arrived in India. We are so thrilled to be adding the LS 500h to our line-up here. When we think of the exacting standards of the most discerning Indian car owners, we are confident the new LS will impress and delight – through its design, its performance, and the efficiency of the world’s first multi stage hybrid system. – N Raja, Chairman, Lexus India
