Ford has announced that they’ll be launching EcoSport Storm in the Brazilian market soon. Ford’s Brazil division has released few dark teasers, which when tweaked in Photoshop, reveal a bit more.
Based on the facelifted version, the EcoSport Storm wears a more rugged exterior look. The vehicle gets body cladding all around, including the wheel arches. The doors get ‘Storm’ branding. ORVMs and door handles appear to be blacked-out. There seems to be new alloy wheel design as well.
Front gets a rather loud ‘Storm’ branding on the grille à la Ford Raptor. The grille pattern is different too.
Another noticeable change is on the roof, where you can see a sunroof. Also, the roof rails are ready for a cargo box.
Interiors of the EcoSport Storm are pretty much the same except for body-coloured accents.
According to few Brazilian media, the EcoSport Storm is expected to be offered with 2.0 Flexfuel engine (Gasoline/Ethanol) and an optional 4WD system. The engine makes 170 hp and 202 Nm with Gasoline, and 176 hp and 221 Nm with Ethanol.
Ford sells the EcoSport in US market with an optional 4WD system.
