Remember the Datsun Go-Cross Concept that was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo? Well, here is the production version unveiled for the Indonesian market. Needless to say, it looks pretty impressive in some angles.
The production version appears to retain most of the styling elements including the secondary/fog lamps. However, the bumper lights have been replaced by some silverish-plastic applique. The headlamps are projectors with auto light system, surrounded by LED DRLs. At the rear-end, the taillamps are rather ordinary. As for the roof rails, they can apparently carry loads up to 30 kg (66 lbs). The Cross rides on 15-inch alloy wheels.
Interiors are neat and simple, featuring a 6.75-inch touchscreen infotainment with Bluetooth, USB and AUX connectivity. Other features include a manual AC, all four power windows, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, ORVM integrated blinkers, and rear parking sensors.
Safety kit includes dual front airbags, Vehicle Dynamic Control, and ABS.
Powering the Cross is a familiar 1.2-litre (1,198 cc) 3-cylinder petrol engine, producing 68 metric hp at 5,000 rpm and 104 Nm (77 lb-ft) of torque at 4000 rpm, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. With a CVT, the Cross makes 78 metric hp at 6,000 rpm and 104 Nm (77 lb-ft) of torque at 4,400 rpm.
The Cross measures 3,995 mm long, 1,670 mm wide and 1,560 mm tall. Wheelbase measures 2,450 mm and ground clearance is at 200 mm.
