BMW has revealed the exclusive M Performance Parts for the new M5, available as retrofit components when the vehicle goes on sale in March 2018.
The package comprises of aerodynamic components made from carbon fibre and are elaborately handcrafted, said BMW. These include the grille surrounds, air intake attachments on the bumper, side sill attachments, carbon fibre rear spoiler, and a rear diffuser.
Additional components include M Performance foils on the side and bumper, carbon fibre mirror caps, and an elaborately handcrafted carbon fibre engine cover extension kit.
Buyers can also go for M Performance coilover suspension with more sportier setup. The red coil springs add further visual highlights, and the spring plates are adjustable. The M Performance sports exhaust system will be on sale exclusively in US and Canada. The muffler is made from titanium with carbon fibre tailpipe trims additionally available.
The M Performance Drive Analyser and the Trackfix action camera holder are available as well.
The racing look has also been applied to the vehicle’s interior components. The M Performance steering wheel gets Alcantara grip area and a carbon fibre steering wheel cover. The shift paddles are carbon fibre and so is the gear shift lever cover. M Performance floor mats further complement to the car’s interior ambience.
