Maruti Suzuki has revealed the S-Cross facelift, which will check into NEXA showrooms this festive season. The company has commenced bookings for a payment of Rs 11,000.
The new S-Cross sports a bold chrome grille, LED projector headlamps and redesigned bumper at the front. The rear combination lamps are also equipped with LEDs. Also new are the 16-inch two-tone machine finished alloys shod with wider 215/60 tyres.
MSIL said that the interiors have also been tastefully upgraded and made classier with a satin chrome accent finish, a soft touch dashboard and well-coordinated seat fabric designs. Touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are also present. The piano black central console, together with a leather finish arm-rest, adds a dash of premium-ness to the offering, said the company.
As reported yesterday, the new S-Cross gets the DDiS 200 with Smart Hybrid technology (mild hybrid), making it the third model in the Maruti Suzuki portfolio to host the aforementioned powertrain. The technology comes with features like idle-stop-start, torque assist, brake energy regeneration system and a gearshift indicator. It appears that the 1.6 DDiS has been let go.
As before, the car comes in Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha variants. There’ll be 5 colors on offer – NEXA Blue, Pearl Arctic White, Caffeine Brown, Premium Silver, and Granite Grey.
The new S-Cross promises to be compliant with advanced upcoming new safety norms – frontal offset crash, side impact and pedestrian safety. It comes with rear seat ISOFix child seat safety mount.
Launched in August 2015, S-Cross was the first premium offering to debut from the company’s new premium retail channel-NEXA. The Company has sold over 53,000 S-Cross in the domestic market and exported over 4,600 units.
