India Yamaha Motor has launched the Fazer 25 at Rs 1,28,335 ex-showroom, Mumbai. The Fazer 25 is a fully-faired touring version of the Fz25 that was launched earlier this year.
The bike is powered by the same 249 cc oil-cooled single cylinder engine with Blue Core technology, with an output of 20.9 PS (20.6 hp) @ 8000 rpm and 20 Nm of torque @ 6000 rpm, paired to a 5-speed gearbox.
Yamaha said that the Fazer 25’s engine has been tuned for Indian traffic conditions with smooth power curve and initial torque, ensuring comfortable long riding than its competitors. The Blue Core technology is claimed to extract maximum performance and fuel economy, by precise control of fuel supply and ignition timing.
The bike weighs 154 kg kerb, 6 kg more than the FZ25. Features include LED headlamp, LED positioning lights, LCD instrument cluster with real-time mileage meter, and dual horn. Fuel tank can hold 14 litres.
Front suspension is 41 mm telescopic forks while the rear is a link-less monocross. Braking duties are handled by a 282 mm disc with 2-pot caliper at the front, and a 220 mm disc with a single-pot caliper at the rear. Just like its naked sibling, there is no ABS on offer.
The Fazer 25 is available in two colours – Soulful Cyan and Rhythmic Red.
