Datsun India has launched the redi-GO 1.0L, priced at Rs 3.57 lakh for the T(O) variant and Rs 3.72 lakh for the S variant. Both prices are ex-showroom, Pan India.
The redi-GO 1.0L’s 999 cc 3-cylinder petrol engine makes 68 PS (67 bhp) at 5500 rpm and 91 Nm of torque at 4250 rpm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Similar to Kwid 1.0L, an AMT could be offered at a later date. The engine comes with Intelligent Spark Automated Technology (i-SAT), which according to Datsun, automatically adjusts spark timing in response to fuel quality and power requirement. Claimed fuel economy is 22.5 km/l.
The redi-GO 1.0L carries over all the features of the 0.8L variant, including black interiors, speed-sensitive electric power steering, digital tachometer, manual AC, front power windows, CD/MP3 player, remote key, central locking, optional DRLs, and a driver airbag. The vehicle’s ground clearance remains unchanged at 185 mm.
The only visual differentiator on the exterior is a 1.0 badge on the hatch door. Color options are Ruby, Silver, Lime, Grey, and White.
