Hyundai India will be launching the Xcent facelift on April 20th, and as always, the features list have surfaced online. The 2017 Xcent will be available in five trims – E, E+, S, SX, SX(O), and loses some features.
Features deletion
Its not the first time Hyundai has deleted some features in a facelift, Verna for example, had lost discs at the rear in its facelift. The Xcent facelift will no longer have ABS as a standard feature, but is exclusive to the top end SX and SX(O) trims. Electrochromatic Rear-View Mirror (ECM) has been deleted from the top end variants and have been replaced with manual day/night ones. The base variants will not get even the manual day/night IRVMs. The S variant loses driver seat height adjustment. Cluster Ioniser has also been struck off from the top end variant.
Features addition
The 2017 Xcent is not all about deletion, there are some gains as well. Dual front airbags and Alternator Management System (AMS) has been made standard across the range. If you didn’t know what is an AMS, the system controls the power supply to the battery depending on the load, enhancing the fuel efficiency and performance of the vehicle. Other features include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Mirror Link, Voice Recognition and camera display.
The 2017 Xcent will continue to offer the 1.2 litre Kappa petrol from the outgoing model, but the diesel will most likely be the new 1.2 U2 CRDi unit offered also in the new Grand i10.
