Yamaha India has launched the FZ25 at Rs 1.19 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The new 250 cc naked bike from Yamaha will fill the gap between YZF R15 and YZF R3, and will compete against the likes of Mahindra Mojo, Benelli TNT25, KTM 200 Duke, and Kawasaki Z250.
Yamaha FZ 25 is powered by a 249 cc oil-cooled single cylinder engine with Blue Core technology, producing 20.9 PS of power @ 8000 rpm and 20 Nm of torque @ 6000 rpm, and is mated to a 5 Speed gearbox. The bike sits on a new gen chassis, and weighs 148 kg. Both headlight and tail light are LEDs, making it the second locally manufactured motorcycle after the Dominar 400 to offer LED headlamps. Suspension is taken care by telescopic forks at front and monoshock at rear. Stopping power comes from a 282 mm disc with a 2-pot caliper at the front and a 220 mm disc with a single-pot caliper at the rear. The bike doesn’t get ABS.
There are three colors to choose from – Knight Black, Ballistic Blue and Warrior White.
