After the KC23, the SP-8 is the latest one-off to come out of the Ferrari Centro Stile (Ferrari Styling Centre). It is apparently for a Taiwanese client who closely worked with Flavio Manzoni’s design team.
The F8 Spider forms the base for this one-off, but as you can tell, this is an open-top roadster. Meaning, there’s no convertible roof mechanism here, which should offer some weight-saving benefits. The bodywork has some significant differences too, obviously. The full-width cast aluminium grille at the front was apparently carved out from a single 3D-printed mould.
Other models from the brand inspired some of the styling elements. The taillights, for example, were inspired by those on the Roma; the windscreen from the 296 GTB/GTS, and apparently, those wheels are a modern take of those on the F40. As you can see, the bodywork has a dual-tone paint combo of Blu Scuro Stellato and matte Argento Micalizzato. The gloss carbon fibre bits are finished in Blue Sandstone.
Inside, things look pretty much the same as the F8 Spider, but notice that there’s no passenger display here. The seats are upholstered in a combination of Navy Blue Alcantara and a gradient effect cloth. The one-off also features carpets in specific twill fabric with an iridescent effect.
The powertrain remains the same, but the output figures of the 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 remain undisclosed.
