As you might remember, the second-gen Mercedes-Benz GLC got facelifted recently with subtle styling revisions and electrified powertrain options. Now though, it’s time for the coupe version to receive the same honors. Pricing info is not available just yet, but it is scheduled to go on sale in Europe starting July 2023.
Obviously, you get similar styling elements as those of the regular GLC facelift, and I guess unless you see the vehicle from the three-quarter angles, you probably won’t be able to tell the difference between the coupe and the regular GLC model. Also, notice that while you get the same headlights in both bodystyles, the taillights in the coupe are different. But anyway, standard equipment includes the Avantgarde exterior with 18‑inch light alloy wheels and the chrome package. However, hybrid models roll off the line on mixed-profile tyres with different widths on the front and rear axles.
The AMG Line is available with 19- or 20-inch mixed-profile tyres and wheel arch liners in the vehicle color. Also in the options list are easy-entry running boards and, from AMG Line upwards, a Night package. There are a bunch more wheel options available too, of course.
The interior of the 2023 GLC Coupé is blessed with Avantgarde line as standard. And, you get the same set of gadgets as the regular GLC, obviously, which includes a 12.3-inch driver display and a portrait-style 11.9-inch central touchscreen. The rest of the creature comforts and active safety systems are all the same, of course.
The hybrid models get air suspension and level control at the rear axle as standard. All other variants are equipped with a sport suspension. The variable steering ratio is also standard across the lineup. The Tech Package is an optional extra that includes Airmatic air suspension and active rear-axle steering with a 4.5° steering angle.
Moving on to the juicy bits of the story, you get the same options as those of the regular GLC. The mild-hybrid variants include GLC 200 4Matic, GLC 300 4Matic, GLC 220 d 4Matic and GLC 300 d 4Matic. The PHEV models include GLC 300 e 4Matic, GLC 400 e 4Matic and GLC 300 de 4Matic. The 300 d 4Matic is an extra addition here, which packs the same 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo diesel, but gets you 198 kW (269 metric hp) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque, which are significantly higher figures than those of the 220 d 4Matic.
