Chevrolet has revealed more details on the Equinox EV that was announced earlier this year. It is scheduled to go on sale in fall 2023 as a 2024 model (yes, you read that right), starting with a limited edition 2RS trim. The regular trims would include 1LT, 2LT, 3LT and 3RS, all of which are gonna be available only in spring 2024. The 1LT carries a starting price tag of around $30,000 (excluding taxes and other charges).
Key highlights of the base Equinox EV 1LT include 19-inch aluminum wheels, a 11-inch driver display, a 11-inch central touchscreen, manually-adjustable front seats, and standard Chevy Safety Assist suite which includes the usual stuff such as Automatic Emergency Braking, Following Distance Indicator, Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning and IntelliBeam automatic high beams. You also get Rear Park Assist, Reverse Automatic Braking, Safety Alert Seat, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, and Blind Zone Steering Assist.
Next up is the Equinox EV 2LT, which adds a front LED light bar, roof rails, heated ORVMs, 8-way power-adjustable driver seat, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, and options such as a 17.7-inch touchscreen, power liftgate, Adaptive Cruise Control, HD Surround Vision, Super Cruise hands-free driver-assistance tech, sunroof, and blue-white two-tone exterior paint.
The Equinox EV 2RS is gonna be a limited edition model for some reason, and as you can probably tell, it tries to look more sporty with more dark elements. It appears to be based on the 2LT. Key highlights include black 20-inch aluminum wheels, black grille, black ORVM caps, black roof rails, and optional black roof. For the cabin, you get optional Black with Red accents theme. The rest of the options are the same as the 2LT.
Step up to Equinox EV 3LT, and you’ll add 21-inch aluminum wheels; 6-way power-adjustable front passenger seat; front heated & ventilated seats and rear outboard heated seats; dual-zone climate control; heated wiper park; 17.7-inch central touchscreen, and the same options as the 2LT, including the sunroof. You also get more options here such as Bose audio system, Head-Up Display, and Rear Camera Mirror.
The Equinox EV 3RS is essentially a darker and sportier version of the 3LT with pretty much the same features and options. But on the inside, you get a flat-bottom steering wheel that is not available on other trims. You also get an optional 19.2 kW Level 2 (AC) charger with the 3RS eAWD, which is claimed to add up to 82 km (51 miles) of range per hour of charging. The standard 11.5 kW Level 2 (AC) charger is claimed to add up to 55 km (34 miles) of range per hour of charging.
Moving on to the juicy bits of the story, the standard front-wheel-drive Equinox EV is estimated to offer output figures of 156.5 kW (210 bhp/213 metric hp) and 328 Nm (242 lb-ft) of torque. The eAWD system (dual-motor AWD) is optionally available on every single trim, offering an estimated 216 kW (290 bhp/294 metric hp) and 469 Nm (346 lb-ft) of torque. The battery pack capacity is yet to be disclosed, but GM estimates are as follows:

The battery pack is DC fast-charging capable with up to 150 kW, with which up to 113 km (70 miles) range is claimed to be possible in 10 minutes.
GM covers the Equinox EV’s battery with an 8-year/100,000-mile limited warranty, in addition to the vehicle’s standard bumper-to-bumper coverage.
