Ducati has launched the model year 2023 Panigale V4 in India, priced at INR 26.49 for the Panigale V4 and INR 31.99 for the Panigale V4 S. Both prices are ex-showroom, Pan India. Globally, the V4 lineup includes a track-focused V4 SP2 as well, but it is unclear if the variant is available for the Indian market.
But anyway, Ducati claims to have made significant updates to the new model year, including aerodynamics, engine, chassis, ergonomics, and electronics. Standard equipment includes full LED lighting, auto-off turn signals, Sachs steering damper, Ducati Power Launch, Ducati Quick Shift up/down EVO 2, Riding Modes, Power Modes, Bosch Cornering ABS EVO, Ducati Traction Control EVO 3, Ducati Wheelie Control EVO, Ducati Slide Control, Engine Brake Control EVO, Auto tyre calibration, and more.
Suspension duties in the Panigale V4 are handled by a fully-adjustable Showa 43 mm fork at the front and a fully-adjustable Sachs unit at the rear. The V4 S boasts Öhlins setup front and rear with electronic adjustment capability. The V4 S also gets a lithium-ion battery, which contributes to a kg saving over the V4 (174 kg vs 175 kg).
Both versions are powered by a 1.1-litre (1,103 cc) V4 engine that produces 158.5 kW (215.5 metric hp) at 13,000 rpm and 123.6 Nm (91 lb-ft) of torque at 9,500 rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
The single-seater Panigale V4 SP2 boasts a “Winter Test” livery with red accents; carbon fibre body parts; carbon fibre wheels; lightened final drive with 520 chain; STM-EVO SBK dry clutch; Brembo Stylema R front brake calipers, and more. This version weighs 173 kg (381.4 lbs), 2 kg (4.4 lbs) lighter than the V4.
