Ford has bespoked an F-150 Lightning for the American police departments. It’s called the F-150 Lightning Pro SSV, and as the name suggests, is based on the base Lightning Pro—also known as “an entry-level workhorse”.
The F-150 Lightning Pro SSV (Special Service Vehicle) wears a special police livery with the letter ‘E’ in blue. Key features of this all-electric police truck include roof-mounted LED warning beacons; seats with heavy-duty cloth upholstery and reduced bolsters; built-in steel intrusion plates in the front seatbacks, and easy-to-clean vinyl rear seats and vinyl flooring.
Other standard kit includes a 12-inch digital instrument display, a 12-inch central touchscreen, Ford Co-Pilot360 suite, and an external 220-amp DC-DC power source.
With the standard-range battery pack, the F-150 Lightning Pro SSV is estimated to offer 337 kW (458 metric hp/452 bhp) and 1,051 Nm (775 lb-ft) of torque, and with the extended-range battery pack, the estimated power output is gonna be 432.5 kW (588 metric hp/580 bhp) with the torque remaining the same.
