The photos here showcase the mid-spec Sport and the range-topping EX-L trim. Key exterior features depending on the trim include LED headlights, LED taillights, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The Sport rides on exclusive 18-inch split 5-spoke wheels finished in gloss Berlina Black. This variant also features a gloss-black rear spoiler and a chrome exhaust finisher.
And thanks to the aforementioned Civic platform, the 2023 HR-V has grown in dimensions. It now measures 4,567 mm long, 1,837 mm wide and 1,610 mm tall (Sport: 1,620 mm), with a wheelbase of 2,654 mm. The standard cargo capacity (behind rear seats) is claimed to be 24.4 cu.-ft. (691 litres), and when the 60/40 split rear seatbacks are folded flat, you get up to 55.1 cu.-ft. (1,560 litres).
Inside, the dashboard design is similar to the other latest Honda models. The Sport trim gets sporty seats with red contrast stitching. Other key features include a 9-inch HD touchscreen (7-inch for LX and Sport), Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity (wireless for EX-L), a 7-inch MID, 10 airbags, Blind Spot Information System, and Honda Sensing suite of ADAS which include new Traffic Jam Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition, in addition to Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keeping Assist.
The 2023 HR-V in America is powered by a 2.0-litre (1,996 cc) 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine with 118 kW (160 metric hp/158 bhp) and 187 Nm (138 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is paired with a CVT. AWD with Intelligent Control is optional; the system can send more torque to the rear wheels when things get slippery.
