The 2022 Ram 1500 TRX lineup has got the Sandblast Edition for the U.S. market, with MSRP starting at $98,285 ($1,795 destination charge extra). Ram partnered with Ken Block, who is also a 1500 TRX customer, to put the truck through its paces in Johnson Valley, California, and of course, to reveal it via social media.
The Ram 1500 TRX Sandblast Edition as you can probably tell, is all about visual enhancements. On the exterior, the truck is finished in a unique Mojave Sand paint, complemented with black 18-inch beadlock capable wheels.
Inside, the TRX Sandblast Edition features Light Frost contrast stitching; embroidered “TRX” seat backrest logo; carbon fibre accents; a flat-bottom steering wheel with leather and carbon fibre accents, and of course, a special plaque on the centre console. Also, the driver display features a TRX in Mojave Sand.
No mechanical changes; the 1500 TRX packs a 6.2-litre supercharged HEMI V8 engine that pumps out 523.5 kW (712 metric hp/702 bhp) and 881 Nm (650 lb-ft) of torque, and is paired with the TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission.
