Honda has revealed the production version of the 2023 Acura Integra liftback sedan which debuted as a “prototype” a few months ago. Honda didn’t share the exact pricing, but said that “the uniquely aspirational yet attainable 2023 Integra will start at around $30,000, with reservations starting today for delivery this Spring”. Also, the first 500 customers can claim a limited edition NFT.
But anyway, when it comes to the styling, the production version doesn’t surprise you in any way compared with the prototype; it looks just as sharp and stylish as it looked in the so-called “prototype“. The only difference I guess is that the production version is not wearing those Integra-branded decals on the side doors. Also, it is unclear if it is getting that Phoenix Yellow paint—which goes so well with black elements.
The car rides on 17-inch alloy wheels are standard, while up to 19-inch wheels can be found in the options list. Brake discs measure 12.3-inches at the front and 11.1-inches at the rear, In addition to the standard Integra, there are a couple of A-Spec packages that get you sporty exterior elements, LED fog lights, LED exterior puddle lamps, front & rear proximity sensors, and Adaptive Damper System.
But don’t worry, Jewel Eye LED headlights, Chicane LED running lights, Chicane LED taillights, and a power moonroof with tilt, all come standard.
Inside, you get a 10.2-inch digital driver display, a 7-inch touchscreen (9-inch for A-Spec Technology package), LED ambient lighting (A-Spec Technology package), 8-speaker premium audio system (16-speaker ELS Studio 3D audio system for A-Spec Technology package), wired Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity (wireless for A-Spec Technology package), Alexa built-in (A-Spec Technology package), HUD (A-Spec Technology package), wireless charging pad (A-Spec Technology package), three USB Type-C ports (A-Spec Technology package), heated front seats, 8-way power driver’s seat (12-way with memory for A-Spec Technology package), 4-way power front passenger’s seat (A-Spec Technology package), and AcuraLink (A-Spec Technology package). Also, the keyless remote engine start functionality is exclusive to CVT variants with the A-Spec Technology package, of course.
Moving on to the business-end of the story then, the 2023 Acura Integra is powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that offers 149 kW (202.5 metric hp/200 bhp) at 6,000 rpm and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque from 1,800 to 5,000 rpm. As standard, the engine is hooked up with a CVT that offers paddle shifters for simulated shifts, while a 6-speed manual gearbox with rev-matching is also available; the latter comes with a helical limited-slip differential (LSD). In addition to the standard Comfort, Normal and Sport modes, the A-Spec Technology package gets you an Individual mode as well.
