Techart has revealed a police car based on the Porsche 911 Targa 4, primarily to promote safe and responsible tuning, and also to showcase the level of customization the German tuner offers. Techart calls it a TUNE IT! SAFE! campaign vehicle.
The blue-yellow police livery is complemented with wind tunnel tested Techart Aerokit—which includes a front spoiler, side skirts, multi-part rear diffuser, and a rear spoiler. The emergency police lighting over the Targa arch is complimented with additional lights on the bonnet. Also, notice the turbine-style V-multi-spoke black wheels with a touch of contrast yellow. Rounding off the exterior looks are Techart Sport Springs that lower the ride height by 40 mm.
Things have been kept subtle in the cockpit, obviously. The steering wheel has a yellow 12’o clock marker, while there’s perforated leather with checkered flag design decorations on the steering wheel and on central and door armrests.
The powertrain most likely remains unchanged. The 3.0L twin-turbo flat-six in the base Targa 4 pumps out 283 kW (385 metric hp) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque, paired with an 8-speed PDK.
