Renault has announced the prices of the Kiger SUV for the Indian market, which start at INR 5.45 lakh (US$ 7,500), ex-showroom, Pan India. Bookings are open across the country for a deposit of INR 11,000. Variant wise introductory ex-showroom prices (in INR) are listed below —

In case you missed it, the Kiger made its global debut last month and the series production began a week ago. The Kiger is Renault’s version of Nissan Magnite.
Buyers can choose from 6 colors: Caspian Blue, Radiant Red, Moonlight Silver, Planet Grey, Ice Cool White, and Mahogany Brown. Dual tone paint will cost an additional INR 17,000.

Powering the Kiger is a 1.0-litre (999 cc) 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine with 53 kW (72 metric hp) and 96 Nm (71 lb-ft) of torque, which can be paired with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT. There’s also a turbocharged 1.0L petrol engine on offer with 74 kW (100 metric hp) and 160 Nm (118 lb-ft) of torque; this engine can be paired with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT. The torque output is limited to 152 Nm (112 lb-ft) for CVT.
