The Black Edition accentuates EcoSport’s bold design, giving the compact SUV an even more striking look and a substantial road presence – Anurag Mehrotra, Executive Director Marketing, Sales & Service , Ford India.
Though the changes are minor (exterior-cosmetic), it gives the vehicle an aggressive and sporty look. To begin with, the grille is now dark black, chrome rings on the fog lamps are black, slightly blacked-out headlamps, black ORVMs, dark black alloy wheels, and black roof rails. The body colour options remain the same and the cabin has an all-black treatment like the regular Ecosport.
No mechanical changes whatsoever, and the Black Edition comes with the same 3 engine and two transmission options: 1.5-litre petrol with 5-speed MT or 6-speed AT, 1.0-litre petrol with 5-speed MT, and 1.5-litre diesel with 5-speed MT.
